Apple Rankings - I’m always surprised how contentious the “best type of apple” debate can become. I’m a Honeycrisp loyalist but don’t have a lot of opinions otherwise. Lucky for me, a Guy™ (it’s always just some guy, isn’t it) has organized every kind of apple according to his self-developed ranking system, The Frange 100 Point Apple Rating Scale aka the F100.

All Dom Wrong ft. Amy Douglas - "Give Myself Away" (Official Video) - All Dom Wrong is a house-y moodbooster with refreshing vocals from nu-disco queen Amy Douglas. It’s easy listening, it’s catchy, but that’s not the reason I’m recommending it. Watch the video while paying close attention to the brunette girl with in the neoprene quarter zip-up.
That long, black hair. That stiff 1,2 step done with an unshakeable enthusiasm. The arms!!! Could she be… bow girl?
If that Youtube comment is to be trusted and the Boiler Room was - indeed - an invite-only private party, I’m guessing bow girl was active enough in the Montreal house scene to access these kinds of exclusive events and music video appearances. As a micro-celeb of a bygone era, I’m hoping she’s at least left enough internet breadcrumbs that will lead me right to her. The year was 2013 so some kind of cobransake-esque Facebook post or blogspot entry with a name should suffice.
And you can call me “crazy” or “creepy” for devoting this much time into tracking down a stranger, but my obsession is shared! And each year we progress from 2013 is another year where bow girl is unfairly mythologized in the Youtube comments. People really hate her because she wore a big bow or whatever. What like you’ve never regretted wearing a hyper-trendy head accessory? Doesn’t exactly warrant nearly 10 years of misogynistic dog-piling!
